The HDRI EXR files are black when I open them

Some artists have reported black exr's when opening in Affinity Photo or Photoshop.

We have discovered this is generally due to the way the EXR-IO plugin handles multichannel information.


How to fix the issue:

Option 1: Open photoshop or affinity photo with the EXR-IO plugin disabled.

Note: You can launch Photoshop without plugins by holding the shift key when launching.


Option 2: Uncheck Associate OpenEXR alpha channels in the EXR-IO plugin.
